Antigua and Barbuda Sickle Cell Association wins the SDG Art Competition 2023

The Antigua and Barbuda Sickle Cell Association has won the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Art Competition 2023.

The unveiling ceremony of the UN’ Art Competition themed “Mainstreaming the protection of Human Rights towards the accelerated achievement of the SGDs”, took place on December 16th, 2023. Under the motto “Pain relief is a basic Human Right”, a pastel drawing of two young women comforting each other, and a photo collage spelling out the word “PAIN” had been submitted. This achievement is a wonderful opportunity to internationally give patients a voice to sickle cell patients of Antigua and Barbuda!
