About the Conference
The Sickle Cell Unit, TMRI, The University of the West Indies, in collaboration with the Caribbean Network of Researchers on Sickle Cell Disease and Thalassemia (CAREST), will be hosting the 4th Caribbean Congress on Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) under the theme “Advances in Clinical Care & Research” from January 20-22, 2016, to be held at Jamaica Conference Centre in Kingston, Jamaica.
The three day conference, which is geared towards sharing local and international best practices in management and developments in SCD, will provide a highly interactive forum for further discussion and collaboration. The conference will allow an opportunity for us to familiarize our attendees with the 2nd Edition of Sickle Cell Unit’s ‘Clinical Care Guidelines for SCD”. Our target audience includes healthcare professionals, researchers in SCD, public health specialists, patient support groups and advocates, media practitioners, and other stakeholders drawn from the Caribbean and the Americas.
